An Easy Way to Check Your Website Security

It seems the experts are telling everyone that we need to look harder at website security. Well, that’s all fine and good, but how do you actually know that your site is secure? That was a question I needed to answer.

Fortunately, some quick answers come from a free tool that the fine folks at the Mozilla Foundation created. What’s nice is it gives you a simple grade, just like school. And just like school, I never thought I would still be getting F’s.

The Case for Examining Your URLs

Sometimes, it’s the small items you don’t know about that bite you. After a poor support experience with my first web hosting company, I decided to move my site. I talked to the new company’s sales rep beforehand and felt confident I made the right decision. Except, there was one question I didn’t even know to ask about until various URLs showed 404 server errors. It’s what I call the “capital crime”.
